A progressive link or pro link thumb is a heavier duty thumb built upon a new, longer bucket pin. There is linkage between the cylinder end and the thumb. This linkage allows for much more rotation and has more clamping power due to leverage gained from the linkage. We only build progressive link thumbs for machines in our shop due to the extra engineering, fabrication and testing. Our linkages come with pressed in bushings for long life.
